Actor Ashrut Jain who impressed all with his performances in Sunshine Music Tours and Travels and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has now been roped in to join the star-cast of the Anubhav Sinha directorial venture Mulk. The film’s cast already boasts of a strong ensemble of leading actors like Rishi Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and Neena Gupta.

In an exclusive interaction with NewsX, Ashrut said, “I am really very honoured to be a part of MULK. I really admire Mr.Anubhav Sinha and thank him for this opportunity. I guess as an actor it’s a blessing to share screen space with legendary actors like Rishi ji (Rishi Kapoor), Neena ji (Neena Gupta), Ashutosh Rana, Rajat kapoor and Taapsee Pannu. This is really big for me and will give me a great exposure.”

MULK is inspired by a real-life event and the plot revolves around a joint family which is involved in a controversy and Taapsee’s character is helping the family reclaim their honor.

Meanwhile, Ashrut is also working on ‘An Indian Dream’, a film based on the make in India campaign where he plays the lead character. The film is being helmed by Sachin Mehta, who is a Los Angeles based filmmaker.

He is also looking forward to the release of a short film ‘Taxi’ that has been directed by Shailendra Singh. The short film co-stars Deepak Dobriyal and is set to be showcased at several international film festivals including Cannes in 2018.

Ashroot has previously donned shot roles in several Bollywood movies including, Ranveer Singh starrer Ram Leela, the actor has his roots from theatres and has been into acting since his school days.

Ashrut rose to fame in Bollywood with his portrayal of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s school captain Shabbir in his biopic MS Dhoni The Untold Story.
