‘Judwaa 2’ starring Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez managed to get an excellent opening at the box office. The film, which has crossed the 50-crore mark in its opening weekend, will enter the Rs 100 crore club soon. Until Thursday the David Dhawan directorial ‘Judwaa 2’ collected a total of Rs 98.08 crore and has been officially declared hit.

Taran Adarsh, trade analyst took to his Twitter handle to share the latest box office collection. He tweeted, “#Judwaa2 Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr, Tue 8.05 cr, Wed 6.72 cr, Thu 6.06 cr. Total: ₹ 98.08 cr. India biz. SUPERHIT.”

‘Judwaa 2’, starring Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles is a remake of David Dhawan’s 1997 hit ‘Judwaa’, which had Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha in the lead roles.

‘Judwaa 2’ revolves around the story of identical twins Raja and Prem , who were separated at birth and grow up to be polar opposites of each other. Raja’s arrival in London, the city where Prem lives, triggers a series of hilarious events, stemming from mistaken identity. Salman Khan even has a cameo in the film with his double role.

Sajid-Wajid, Anu Malik and Meet Bros have provided music for the film. Malik has recomposed two of the songs from ‘Judwaa’ — ‘Oonchi Hai Building’ and ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara’.

On the opening day, ‘Judwaa 2’ managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and gain the fourth spot in the list of the highest openers of 2017, leaving the SRK’s movie in the fifth position.

Affter the collection of the first weekend, Varun Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’ was able to earn more than Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.
