Former actor Zaira Wasim recently warned her followers on Instagram after finding mold in a dessert she purchased from a bakery in Srinagar. On Saturday, Zaira shared a short video on her Instagram Stories, showing the mold hidden inside a pie.

The former Bollywood star, who was behind the camera in the clip, rotated the plate to clearly show the mold. Along with the video, she advised her followers, “People, check twice before you consume stuff from local bakeries,” accompanied by a teary-eyed smiley face emoji. She also added, “Mold in the pie,” and tagged the location as Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

However, Zaira chose not to disclose the name of the bakery or provide any further details.

Zaira made her Bollywood debut at the age of 16 in 2016, portraying the younger version of Geeta Phogat, a well-known Haryanvi wrestler and daughter of veteran wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, played by Aamir Khan, in Nitesh Tiwari’s blockbuster sports drama Dangal.

The film, which also featured Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurana, Sakshi Tanwar, and Suhani Bhatnagar, went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films globally.

She later starred in Advait Chandan’s 2017 coming-of-age musical hit Secret Superstar, where she played a young Muslim girl who secretly uploads videos of herself singing on YouTube while wearing a burqa, calling herself a “secret superstar.”

The film, which also featured Meher Vij and Aamir Khan in an extended cameo, achieved significant success worldwide, particularly in China. Despite a modest budget of Rs 15 crores, Secret Superstar garnered an impressive Rs 965 crores at the global box office.

At a time when Bollywood often produces high-budget films costing 500-600 crores, Secret Superstar stands out as an example of how original and fresh content can surpass traditional expectations.
