Fire and Emergency Services Director Visits Baltal Amid Ongoing Amarnath Yatra

Alok Kumar visited every yatra camp present on the route from Srinagar to Baltal. It includes Manigam, Neilgrath, Baltal Base Camp, Baltal Tent City, and Domail.

The Director of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES), Alok Kumar visited Baltal in Jammu and Kashmir to review the safety arrangements made for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra on Thursday according to an official statement.
Alok Kumar visited every yatra camp present on the route from Srinagar to Baltal. It includes Manigam, Neilgrath, Baltal Base Camp, Baltal Tent City, and Domail. He also inspected Fire & emergency services, at Gund and Kangan situated on Srinagar Baltal Yatra Route.
He met with all the officers of Paramilitary, Police, and Civil Administration and discussed safety and security measures for Pilgrims. He also appreciated all the officers for their tremendous and continuous effort for looking after the safety and security of all the pilgrims.
He also enjoined all the officers of the fire department to keep close communication with every Stakeholder for immediate response to any situation of emergency during an ongoing Yatra.
The official statement also mentioned that he interacted with the camp director, officers, and devotees at the Neigrath helipad campus. He gave assurance to all the devotees and directed designated officials to settle all their valid issues. He held a meeting with SSPs installed in Baltal Base Camp. He was informed about CCTV and satellite facilities are being given to the pilgrims during their travel and trekking from Baltal to the holy cave.
The annual Amarnath Yatra started on July 1. This will continue till August 31.
