WB: Special Task Force arrests 2 for involvement with Al Qaida

According to police on Friday, Special Task Force in West Bengal captured two criminals for allegedly having connections to the outlawed terrorist group Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).

The arrests were made in Sasan PS region of Barasat. Kazi Ahasan Ullah and Abdur Rakib Sarkar have been named as defendants.

Abdur Rakib Sarkar and Kazi Ahasan Ullah were detained by the Special Task Force of West Bengal for their claimed connections to the outlawed terrorist group Al Qaida at Kharibari, under Sasan Police Station.

The authorities also removed from their custody seditious documents.

A case has been reported in accordance with the pertinent provisions.

There are further studies under progress.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Assam Police have so far deactivated 16 members of the Ansarul Bangla Team (ABT) and Al-Qaida Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) terror organisations.
