Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi spoke today from the stage at the Congress’s massive rally against rising prices, which is taking place at the Ramlila ground in Delhi. He speeches that people are afraid about their future, inflation, and unemployment. “BJP and RSS are dividing the country,” he added.

Huge crowds attended the great old party’s “Mehangai Par Halla Bol rally” despite strict security measures. Before Mr. Gandhi entered the scene and launched his attacks against the Prime Minister and the governing BJP, several senior party leaders addressed the crowd.

The Congress MP accused “only two businessmen” of receiving favors from the government, directing criticism at the Prime Minister. He claimed that PM Modi’s alleged association with two prominent businessmen was responsible for everything under their control, including the media, the airport, the port, and the roads.

“The Prime Minister’s ideology says that we should give benefits to two people. Our ideology says everyone should benefit from the country’s progress,” he said.

“Ever since the BJP government came to power at the Centre, hatred and anger have been increasing in the country. There is pressure on institutions such as media, judiciary, Election Commission, and the government is attacking all of them,” Mr Gandhi said.

He added that this kind of price hike has never been seen in the nation. “Common people are in great difficulty. Opposition is not allowed to raise these issues in parliament, be it tensions with China, inflation, or unemployment,” he added.

The Congress party is promoting its “Bharat Jodo Yatra” as its largest-ever mass contact campaign, during which the party’s top leaders will interact with the general public on a local level.
