Telangana: 27 children hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning

According to the officials on Tuesday, up to 27 children in Adilabad were hospitalised as a result of food poisoning.

According to sources, the terrible situation happened when, due to a staffing deficit, the cooks chose not to wash the grains and rice before cooking.

Another incidence from Uttar Pradesh involved up to 38 pupils from Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Balika Vidyalaya in Hardoi who visited a medical camp on Sunday and reported experiencing nausea and stomach pain.

The girls had visited the health camp at the Pihani Community Health Centre (CHC). They started to feel queasy and complained of stomach aches when they got back. They protested that the hospital gave them the incorrect medication.

According to Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Swati Shukla, “After the therapy, 32 youngsters felt fine and were released home. While the six other kids have been moved to a public hospital for treatment.”

SDM Shukla added that the incident’s precise cause will be looked into and that the entire matter is being monitored.

SDM Shukla stated, “We will look into what caused this, whether it was food poisoning or happened because you took medicine.
