Gautam Adani to receive USIBC Global Leadership Award

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S. India Business Council (USIBC) announced that they will confer the USIBC 2022 Global Leadership Award to Gautam Adani, Founder and Chairman of the Adani Group, in appreciation of his visionary leadership.

On 7 September 2022, the Global Leadership Award will be presented to Mr. Adani at USIBC’s India Ideas Summit in New Delhi. On Thursday, USIBC President and Ambassador (ret.) Atul Keshap paid visit to the Adani Mundra Industrial Park in the coastal district of Kutch in western Gujarat.

“During my first-ever visit to Gujarat, I was delighted to meet Mr. Gautam Adani to discuss his vision of India’s rise. I was impressed by the Adani Mundra Industrial Park. The Adani Group’s investments into world class infrastructure in Mundra is one of the many reasons that Gujarat leads in places to do business. We look forward to presenting our Global Leadership Award to Mr. Adani at our Summit in New Delhi on 7 th September, where we will celebrate 75 years of the Indian growth story and chart the next 75 years of U.S.-India prosperity” said Atul Keshap.

Since 2007, the Global Leadership Award has honored the top corporate executives from India and the United States who demonstrate an active and dynamic commitment to strengthen the U.S.- India partnership. Jeff Bezos, the founder, executive chairman, and former president and CEO of Amazon, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, Adena Friedman, the president and CEO of Nasdaq, Fred Smith, the founder and chairman of FedEx Corporation, and Uday Kotak, the CEO of Kotak Mahindra are some of the previous recipients of this award.

The U.S.-India Business Council India Ideas Summit will be held on 7 September 2022 at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi.

Top government officials like Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the Hon. Minister of External Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Hon. Minister of Finance, Jennifer Granholm, and others will speak at this year’s conference.
