On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, a team from the Gurudwara Shri Bala Sahib Ji paid a visit to his house to give blessings and prasad of the ‘Akhand Paath.’

The Gurudwara had organised a ‘Akhand paath’ that began on September 15th and ended on September 17th, Modi’s birthday. Thousands of Sikh enthusiasts attended this ‘Akhand paath.’ The Gurdwara also held Langer, Health Camp, and Blood Donation Camps on occasion.

The Sikh delegation honoured the Prime Minister by tying a Pagdi and presenting a Siropa. An ardas was also done to wish the Prime Minister a long and healthy life.

Modi expressed his delight at meeting the team and thanked them for their well-wishes and prayers for him. He expressed his gratitude to them for making him feel like a member of the Sikh community.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working consistently for the welfare of the Sikh community.

The team also praised the Prime Minister for his measures for the honour and welfare of the Sikh community during the meeting. They recalled the Prime Minister’s efforts, which included proclaiming December 26 as “Veer Baal Divas,” reopening the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, removing GST from langars managed by gurdwaras, and ensuring that replicas of the Guru Granth Sahib arrived in India from Afghanistan, among others.
