Rotary recognizes HRH Prince Charles, Prince of Wales with its highest honours

Rotary’s highest award ‘Rotary Award of Honour’ was presented to HRH Prince of Wales, Prince Charles at CHOGM in Rwanda

At the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kigali, Rwanda, Rotary awards its highest recognition ‘Rotary Award of Honour’ to HRH Prince Charles, Prince of Wales.

Shekhar Mehta, Rotary International President presented the honour to leaders of nations and other notable individuals.

Prince Charles expressed his gratitude to Rotary for the honour. He was ecstatic with what Rotary had accomplished. He spent 30 minutes talking about the prospects for collaboration between his charity and Rotary’s numerous humanitarian initiatives.

Meanwhile, Mehta acknowledged Rotary’s common commitment to environmental protection and expressed gratitude for His Royal Highness’ commitment to sustainability and biodiversity.

This year, local community service will be the primary emphasis of Celebrate Community, a collaborative project of the four largest volunteer service groups, which will debut during the week of October 10 to 16.

Following this, Rotary has awarded HRH Prince Charles with its highest honour, the Rotary Award of Honour, in appreciation of his long-standing commitment to using natural solutions to combat the climate issue.
