1,569 new infections recorded in India with dip in cases

On Monday, the country saw a total of 2,202 new illnesses. India presently has 16,400 active cases, accounting for 0.04 percent of all instances, with the most recent cases.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday, the number of COVID-19 cases in India has declined, with 1,569 new infections detected in the preceding 24 hours.

On Monday, the country saw a total of 2,202 new illnesses. India presently has 16,400 active cases, accounting for 0.04 percent of all instances, with the most recent cases.

The daily positivity rate in the country is 0.44 percent.

2,467 persons recovered from COVID in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 4,25,84,710. The current rate of recovery is 98.75 percent.

Meanwhile, COVID claimed the lives of 19 people, according to the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

COVID-19 vaccine coverage in India has surpassed 191.48 crores, with a total of 1,914,48,94,858 people immunised as part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

In terms of immunisation, 1,078,005 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine were provided.

According to the Health Ministry, India performed 3,57,484 COVID-19 tests in the previous 24 hours.
