COVID immunization coverage in India surpassed 188.40 crore people

According to provisional reports received by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare today, the country’s total COVID-19 immunization coverage has exceeded 188.40 crores (1,88,40,75,453) through 2,31,86,439 sessions.

COVID-19 immunization programme for teenagers aged 12 to 14 years old began on March 16, 2022, and more than 2.78 crores (2,78,64,432) of adolescents have received the first dose and 49.86 crores (49,86,816) have received the second dose.

The vaccination was given to people aged 15 to 18 years old in two doses: 5,83,09,299 in the first dosage and 4,18,99,185 second dose, according to the ministry.

Meanwhile, persons between the ages of 18 and 44 received 1,23,173 precaution doses, while those between the ages of 45 and 60 received 4,41,168 and 1,46,72,888 precaution doses, respectively.

People in the age group of 18-44 year received 55,56,27,071 (1st Dose) and 47,71,00,613 (2nd Dose) of Covid-19, while those in the 45-59 year age group received 20,29,04,425 (1st Dose) and 18,77,20,783 (2nd Dose).

The Coronavirus vaccines were administered to senior persons (over 60 years old) in two doses: 12,68,54,070 (1st Dose) and 11,69,48,915 (2nd Dose).

With 3,303 new infections reported in the last 24 hours, India’s active caseload now stands at 16,980.
