Due to a decline in Covid cases, the government of Bhutan has formally announced that the international border with India will open on September 23.
Tashi Panjore, the Director of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Law and Order Department of the Himalayan monarchy, stated, “We are getting ready to open the border and provide visitors with a positive experience.”
Tashi Panjore, the Commandant of Sashastra Seema Bal’s 15th Battalion, Neeraj Chand, and all other SSB officials met in a general session at the organization’s regional headquarters, which is located at Chaprakata in Assam’s Bongaigaon district.
Bhutan, a neighbour, said that it would close the international gate between India and Bhutan for COVID in 2019. On September 23, 2022—nearly 4 years from now—the borders will be reopened.
The same topic was discussed today at SSB Headquarters by Tashi Penjore, Director of Law and Order Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Bhutan, Deputy Commissioner of Bhutan, Superintendent of Police, and several other personnel.
