In a controversial act of vandalism, signboards on Akbar Road and Humayun Road were blackened and posters of Chhatrapati Shivaji were pasted over them. Police sources revealed that the incident occurred after a group of individuals watched the Vicky Kaushal-starring film Chhava, a period drama based on Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Sambhaji.

Videos showing youths spraying black paint on the signboards and placing images of Shivaji on them surfaced on social media platforms. The defacement was reportedly linked to Chhava, which portrays the son of Shivaji, Chhatrapati Sambhaji, as the second king of the Maratha Empire.

Upon discovering the incident, police and civic authorities quickly arrived at the scene to clean the defaced boards. Investigations have already begun, with authorities reviewing CCTV footage to identify the individuals responsible for the act. Police are closely monitoring the area to prevent further vandalism and ensure public safety.
