Doordarshan to telecast documentary on India’s glory under PM Modi

Continuing with the ‘Azadi ka Amritkal’ theme, national broadcaster Doordarshan is set to launch a two-part series titled “Dharohar Bharat Ki”.

The series to be aired on 14-15 April will focus on the current Modi regime’s rich cultural and historical legacy, with special emphasis on preserving India’s rich civilisational and cultural heritage, glorifying India’s freedom fighters and the supreme sacrifice of soldiers of India.

“Our soldiers dedicated their entire lives and gave their all to protect every inch of our motherland. Their sacrifice cannot be measured in words only; Its grandeur and significance have to be brought alive to inspire future generations,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his talk in the documentary.

Over the years, the Modi government has emphasised showcasing India’s glorious heritage. From the setting up of the National War Memorial to honour the sacrifices of our soldiers to the Police Memorial in honour of the martyred police officers, the Prime Minister’s call has been heeded.

Spiritual sites like Ram Janmabhoomi, Somnath Temple, Mahakal Temple Corridor, Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor, and Kartarpur Sahib Corridor are some of the most prominent steps taken to protect the cultural and religious heritage of India.

The documentary will showcase India’s giant steps in the last few years to revive our sense of cultural unity and pride.

Ensuring the sanctity as well as the security of revered patriotic sites such as Jallianwala Bagh; reviving the glorious spirit of our civilisational centres like Ram Janmabhoomi, Kashi Vishwanath Dham; Somnath Dham and Kedarnath Dham; With respect to spiritual sites like Kartarpur Sahib; Celebrating the lives of freedom fighters at inspiring sites like the Cellular Jail; staging Netaji Bose’s contribution through the grand Netaji statue on the India Gate canopy; And honouring the great contributions of our patriots – past and present – like war memorials are just some of the themes the documentary will present.

The documentary “Renaissance of India” is a reflection of this idea. While our joint pride has rejuvenated us with a sense of belonging, especially in the last few years, it is imperative for today’s youth to fully appreciate the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of their honourable commemoration. Understand,” say sources behind the series.

In short, the two-part documentary is a fascinating showcase of India’s vast and vibrant culture, rejuvenating, embracing, and celebrating our rich and diverse heritage.
