Khan Sir Gets Big Relief: Patna Court Stays Arrest in Coaching Centre Firing Case

Educator Faisal Khan, better known as Khan Sir has received temporary relief from a Patna court which has stopped his arrest for now. He is accused of being involved in a firing incident that allegedly happened at his coaching institute on June 2. Popular YouTuber is widely known as Khan Sir filed an anticipatory bail plea in a Patna Court. His lawyer sadi that the case was filed as part of conspiracy to damage Khan Sir’s reputation and public image. Patna Police told reporters on Friday that Khan Sir had been named in the FIR linked to the vandalism at the Khan Global Studies Institute. Based on the investigation into the sequence of events and the recovery of the weapons, the police named Khan Sir and two others in the FIR under the abetment and Arms Act sections.

What is Khan Sir Coaching Centre Firing Case? 

On June 2, a security guard was injured after gunshots were allegedly fired outside the coaching institute of Khan Sir. After that, Kadamkuan Police filed an FIR under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and also under the Arms Act against three people including Khan Sir. 

The allegations were said to be based on a video that reportedly showed men throwing stones and indulging in vandalism at Khan Sir’s institute. Later, two security guards firing shots. Both guards were arrested later. 

Then on June 3, the Patna Civil Court sent Raushan Anand, who is the Director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy along with his associates Abhishek and Gaurav to judicial custody. 

Earlier, Anand claimed, “There is a conspiracy against us. After the success of the Bihar police exam results, they are trying to trap us. Kisan cold storage owners and Khan Sir together are attempting to ruin Gyan Bindu.”

On Sunday, teachers and student leaders from the academy protested Anand’s arrest saying it was unfair and done with no solid grounds. They also raised questions about why Khan Sir was not treated in a similar way in  the same case.

The police confirmed that the weapons used in the incident have been seized and forwarded to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination.
