Mumbai commuters using the Uran Phata bridge on the Sion-Panvel Highway will face disruptions as the Mumbai-bound lane remains closed for a month. Officials confirmed that cement concreting work will take place from February 22 to March 22, 2025, necessitating traffic restrictions.

To minimize inconvenience and prevent congestion, the Turbhe Traffic Police Division has implemented alternative routes for motorists.

Traffic Diversions for Motorists

As per the advisory:

  • Pune to Mumbai commuters can take the Panvel Exit via Atal Setu to reach their destination.
  • Light motor vehicles from Kalamboli heading towards Mumbai should turn left at CBD Junction and proceed via Killa Junction and Palm Beach Road.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Tirupati Kakde urged motorists to cooperate with the diversions, stating,
“The work will continue for a month, and we request all commuters to follow the suggested routes for smooth traffic movement.”
