PM Modi Marks World Lion Day With Remarkable Lion Images And Appreciation For Conservationists

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the efforts of all those involved in the conservation and protection of lions on Saturday.

On the occasion of World Lion Day, celebrated on August 10, PM Modi took to his X handle to share several stunning images of the big cats. He highlighted that in February this year, the Union Cabinet approved the establishment of the International Big Cat Alliance. This initiative aims to unite all the nations where big cats reside, build a holistic approach to sustainable development, and support community efforts. The endeavor has received a positive global response, he noted.

PM Modi also extended an invitation to wildlife enthusiasts to visit Gir National Park to witness the conservation efforts for lions and experience the hospitality of the people of Gujarat.
