The footage shows a group of men dancing and tossing money into the air when a man, appearing to act in haste, fired three shots. Singh, 45, was hit by one of the bullets as he was passing by and collapsed on the spot.

Despite India’s stringent gun laws prohibiting firearms at such events and Punjab’s state-wide ban on celebratory firing, the reckless act led to a fatal outcome. Initially, Singh’s wife and the police reported that he had died of a heart attack. However, the emergence of the video showing him being struck by a bullet has intensified demands for a thorough investigation.

As of now, authorities have not taken action against the shooter. The incident has raised serious concerns over gun control enforcement and safety measures at public gatherings.
