JKNC president Farooq Abdullah quits his post

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) stated that Farooq Abdullah has resigned as party president today .

The job of holding Abdullah’s successor election has been given to the party’s general secretary. The party will be led by Farooq Abdullah till the conclusion of this election on December 5. JKNC tweeted saying “Dr. Farooq Abdullah Sahib has told his coworkers that he would no longer be the president of JKNC. Despite the greatest efforts of his senior party members, Dr. Sahib was resolute that he would not reconsider his choice.”

Meanwhile, Ali Muhammad Sagar, party’s general convener and chairman of Central Election Board, issues notification of the election for JKNC president.
