The body of Puran Krishan Bhat, a member of a minority group who died from gunshot wounds on Saturday while travelling to an orchard in Shopian after being shot by terrorists in Chowdari Gund, arrived at his Jammu home on Saturday.
During his journey to an orchard in Shopian on Saturday, Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat was shot by militants and died as a result of his wounds. The injured person was sent to the hospital right away, where he was pronounced dead.
Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir, denounced the terrorist assassination of a Kashmiri Pandit in the Shopian region and gave the assurance that those responsible will face harsh punishment.
In a tweet, he stated “Terrorists’ attack on Puran Krishan Bhat in Shopian was a despicable display of cowardice. My sincere sympathies to the family of the deceased. I reassure the populace that those responsible and those who help and abet terrorists will face harsh punishment.”
Immediately following the terror group’s murder, Kashmiri freedom fighters “According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, Kashmir Freedom Fighters took responsibility for the murder of the Kashmiri Pandit in the Shopian district.
Sujit Kumar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), stated: “A Pandit Puran ji from Kashmir has been killed. We are pursuing the matter. Kashmir Freedom Fighters (KFF) “The Kashmir Freedom Fighters) have taken ownership of it. We can’t yet confirm anything, therefore we won’t. There was a guard here.”
Only one individual, according to the witnesses, stood in front of him and had targeted him.
Eyewitnesses report that there was just one individual who had targeted him and was in front of him throughout the initial inquiry. Nobody else who could be hiding has been seen. Give us some time, everything will become evident,” added Kumar.
DIG Kumar continued, “We are determining the cause; he left on his scooter and rode it back. They were two persons; he wasn’t by alone. If the crime happened while the guard was stationed here, action would be taken against not just him but also any nearby involved authorities.
