New Delhi: The global condom manufacturer, Durex, has always delighted its users by introducing interesting flavours to be enjoyed while making love. However, after introducing good, fun fruit flavours such as strawberry, banana orange, apple and many more, it has now decided to try its hand at vegetables. The very first in this category, as chosen by the manufacturer is eggplant. Yes you got it right…Baingan.
Durex launched the flavour on September 5 by taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, where it shared the image of the condom pack and captioned it as ‘Breaking News’. A few months ago, Durex had launched a campaign where in it had launched a ‘brinjal emoji’ in order to promote safe sex and sexting. Basically, they indicated towards using this emoji of eggplant in place of a penis.
How so ever interesting it might sound for the manufacturer but Twitterati just couldn’t take it. People, in no time, started trolling the advertisement and some came up with really funny ones.
Anyway, at the end of the day it would matter only for those who have the ‘taste’ for baingan and would want to add that tinge of vegetarianism to their ‘non-veg’ experience.
