The Ekadashi Vrat or the ‘Shravana Putrada Ekadashi’ (Putrada Ekadashi) as is commonly referred to, falls on Aug. 3, today. The muhurat and vrat puja began from August 2, while the vrat parana time is in the evening tomorrow on Dwadashi. Shravana Putrada Ekadashi falling in the Shravana month is also known as ‘Pavitra Ekadashi’.

Putrada Ekadashi is an Indian festival and celebrated twice a year in the month of Shravana i.e. July or August; and Pausha i.e. December or January. Hindu devotees celebrate this festival in honour of Lord Vishnu. The festival holds great significance for married women in our culture.

Shravana Putrada Ekadashi 2017 Muhurat Date & Vrat Puja Tithi:

  • Ekadashi Tithi begins at 14:13 on 2/Aug/2017 and ends at 16:36 on 3/Aug/2017.
  • Parana Time (breaking the fast) is between 05:48 to 08:27 on August 4.
  • Dwadashi ends at 18:52 on August 4.

Ekadashi parana is done after sunrise on the next day. It is necessary to do parana within the Dwadashi Tithi.
