Pakistan carried out a series of coordinated drone attacks at 26 sites across India on Friday, spanning from Jammu & Kashmir down to Gujarat.
The Indian armed forces responded swiftly, neutralising the aerial threats and demonstrating strong air defence readiness. The strikes targeted several key locations including Jammu, Samba, Rajouri, Udhampur, Nagrota, Awantipora, Reasi, Poonch, Akhnoor, and parts of Punjab such as Pathankot and Amritsar. In Ferozpur, three civilians sustained injuries after debris from a downed drone fell on a residence.
The strikes came in the wake of India’s recent military offensive—Operation Sindoor—which destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the Pahalgam terror incident.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held high-level discussions with defence officials and military veterans to review the national security landscape and bolster India’s operational readiness.
