The Pamban Bridge also holds profound spiritual and mythological significance. According to the Ramayana, the construction of the Ram Setu, a bridge linking India to Sri Lanka, began from Dhanushkodi, near Rameswaram. The new bridge not only enhances modern-day connectivity but also honors this sacred link from India’s past.
