FC Goa started with a positive attacking opportunity in the eighth minute of the clash. Brison Fernandes on the left flank made his way to the penalty box and took a shot, which was stopped after a diving effort from the goalkeeper, Mohammad Nawaz.

Both teams have been pretty aggressive in the opening minutes of the game. Chennaiyin FC has already committed a foul; the Gaurs, on the other hand, have fouled twice in the game so far.
