East Bengal vs Kerala Blasters Highlights ISL: EBFC 1-1 KBFC After 90 Minutes | Muhammad Ajsal Scores In Injury Time To Equalize For The Visitors

Kerala Blasters have spoiled the party for the hosts. The visitors have scored the equalising goal in the dying minutes of the game from a corner. Muhammad Ajsal scored his first goal in the Indian Super League in one of the most crucial times for his club. 

After a match where the players have kept themselves for most of the clash, there seems to be tensions flaring up. KBFC’s Fallou Ndiaye pushed EBFC’s Miguel Figueira, who went down immediately. The challenge earned Ndiaye a yellow card from the referee. 

We are into the final 10 minutes! East Bengal has upped the ante significantly and is bringing on fresh legs as they continue to search for its second goal. The Blasters have done well to prevent another goal, but they are still trailing in the clash. KBFC ended the first half strongly and they would want to do the same in the second half as they look for the crucial goal. 

East Bengal are trying to up the ante in the last 15 minutes of the clash. The hosts earned their sixth corner as they continue their search for the second goal. The Blasters have been put on the backfoot as the players take a well-earned drinks break.

East Bengal FC has earned its fifth corner of the game. Mohammed Rashid almost scored the goal of the season with the ball coming in from the corner. The Palestinian footballer hit a volley from way outside the penalty area, with the ball going only a few metres away from the goal post. 

The players from East Bengal seem to have taken a step back after their skipper, Saul Crespo, was substituted in the 54th minute. He was replaced by Souvik Chakraborty. 

As they did in the first half, East Bengal FC have started strongly in the second half of this crucial clash. The hosts have taken a couple of shots at the goal, however, they are yet to hit the target in the second half. 

East Bengal almost doubled their lead with the last kick of the first half after Ezzejjari scored in the 10th minute to give the hosts a lead. Kerala Blasters have come close to scoring a goal; however, are still behind in this clash after the first 45 minutes. 

Kevin Yoke’s cross from the left wing has been pouched by Prabhsukhan Singh Gill. The Blasters are certainly making an effort to score the equalising goal and are attacking from both flanks on the pitch. 

The Blasters are feeling the heat as EBFC continues to showcase their presence in the attacking third. The hosts, having taken the lead, have been firing shots at the KBFC goal. For now, it looks like it is only a matter of time before EBFC doubles its lead. 

East Bengal has been awarded a penalty in the ninth minute of the clash. Aibanbha Dohling’s tackle in the box brought a stop to EBFC before Youssef Ezzejjari scored his fifth goal of the season. 

The Kerala Blasters earned a free kick early in the game in their own half. However, the control of the game seems to be with the hosts as they are constantly pushing to the attacking third looking to take an early lead. 

East Bengal FC kicked off the proceedings at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The hosts have dominated the possession in the ealry minutes of the match. 

A minute of silence was observed right before the kick-off as the former AIFF general secretary, Kushal Das passed away this week. 

Kerala Blasters hold a marginal lead over their opponents when it comes to results in the last 10 games. The Blasters have won four of the last 10 matches, while East Bengal has been on the winning side thrice. Three of the last 10 games have resulted in draws. 

To put it mildly, the Kerala Blasters’ campaign has gotten off to a bad start. Due to a slightly better goal difference, the Blasters, who have lost all four of their games thus far, are second to the bottom on the points table. KBFC has only managed one goal in their four games this season, having faced some of the best clubs. In their first clash of the season, they were defeated by Mohun Bagan, who are at the top of the table. Before losing to Inter Kashi, where they scored their lone goal in a 2-1 loss, Mumbai City defeated them 1-0. As their season continued to deteriorate, KBFC lost 1-0 in their last match against Chennaiyin FC.

East Bengal have lost and drawn in their last two games coming into this encounter. The Red and Gold Brigade struggled in the previous two games of the ongoing ISL 2025–26 campaign after a great start. They defeated NorthEast United 3-0 in the first game of the season while keeping a clean sheet. In a 4-1 victory over Sporting Delhi, Youssef Ezzejjari scored two goals and maintained his excellent form. Jamshedpur FC, who are tied for first place, won 2-1 thanks to a goal by Rei Tachikawa in the 87th minute. The game against the third-place Goa FC remained goalless as the Red and Gold Brigade Army was unable to break the impasse.
