The 19th over, bowled by Arshdeep Singh, yielded just six runs but had its share of drama. At the end of 16 overs, the West Indies raced to 149/4, with Powell blazing on 20 (10) and Holder on 7 (7).

Pandya strikes for the tournament hosts! 

The 15th over, delivered by Hardik Pandya, produced six runs but also an important breakthrough for India. He struck on the very first ball, inducing an outside edge from Sherfane Rutherford that was neatly taken behind the stumps by Sanju Samson.

New batter Jason Holder then played out four consecutive dot balls as Pandya kept things tight with disciplined lines just outside off. Holder finally counterattacked on the last delivery, launching a straight six down the ground to end the over on a positive note.

The 11th over turned the momentum firmly in favour of the West Indies as Shimron Hetmyer launched a fierce assault on Varun Chakaravarthy. After Roston Chase opened with a single, Hetmyer took charge by smashing a six over mid-wicket and following it with a boundary and multiple twos, exploiting the gaps with smart placement.

At the end of 11 overs, West Indies surged to 99/1, with Chase on 39 (23) and Hetmyer racing to 25 (10).

In the sixth over, Axar Patel was taken for runs as both openers kept the momentum going for the West Indies. In the third over, Arshdeep Singh returned but was taken on by Roston Chase. The second over saw Hardik Pandya share the new ball for India, and Shai Hope finally broke the shackles. After a few dot balls, Hope launched a short ball over mid-wicket for a six and then finished the over with a crisp cover drive for four, giving the innings some early momentum.

At the end of two overs, the West Indies moved to 13/0, with Hope on 12 (11) and Roston Chase on 1 (1).
