Kolkata Knight Riders’ playoffs scenario remains in focus ahead of their clash against the Delhi Capitals. While the Ajinkya Rahane-led side could be knocked out if RR wins the afternoon game against the Mumbai Indians, they can make it to the playoffs if the result goes in their favour. The hosts would then have to register a thumping victory by around 70 or more runs to get their net run rate past Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals end with their highest total at Eden Gardens as the visitors score 203 runs in the first innings. With Kolkata Knight Riders looking to end their season on a high, it will be a tough ask for the home team to chase down this huge target.
It was a long 19th over from Kartik Tyagi, which seemed that it would never end as three reviews were taken by the two teams. Meanwhile, 12 runs came off Tyagi’s final over as he remained wicketless tonight.

Rahul scored 60 runs in only 30 balls, finishing his season on a high.
KL Rahul has got to his fifth fifty in the season to go along with one century. The wicketkeeper batter reached the milestone in 25 balls after hitting Kartik Tyagi for a four and a six. The 11th over went for 20 runs with Axar ending with a couple of fours.
Finally, Sunil Narine, after going for 24 runs in his first two overs, bounced back in style. The right-arm spinner dismissed Sahil Parakh on the third ball of the 10th over.
Both Sahil Parakh and KL Rahul are rubbing salt in KKR’s wounds. Having been eliminated after being defeated by the Mumbai Indians, the Knight Riders are showing a lack of control with the ball. In the last two overs, both Narine and Chakravarthy have gone for a combined total of 23 runs.
Varun Chakravarthy came into the attack for the seventh over. The Indian spinner started off brilliantly, giving away only four runs in the first over.
Sunil Narine came on to bowl the final over of the power play. The West Indies spinner went for 11 runs, with Sahil Parakh hitting a six and a four. Meanwhile, there was a tough opportunity to dismiss the batter but Rinku Singh diving to his right could not hold on to the catch.
Saurabh Dubey has continued to be a gem for the Knight Riders. While the KKR were eliminated before the fifth over began, the left-arm medium pacer from Vidarbha did not lose his line and length. He dismissed Abhishek Porel and was rewarded for his discipline tonight, having given only five runs in two overs.
