The Parliament will resume its debate on Operation Sindoor today, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah scheduled to speak in the Lok Sabha around noon.
The discussion began on Monday when Defence Minister Rajnath Singh opened the session, which extended until 1 am on Tuesday.
Congress MP and Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, also addressed the House, strongly criticising the Centre during his speech. While the debate started in the Lower House, the Rajya Sabha is set to hold a 16-hour-long session on the same issue starting today.
During the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar clarified that India had no discussions related to trade with the United States while engaging on the Pahalgam terror attack. âAt no stage in our conversations with the US (on Pahalgam attack) was there any conversation about trade,â he stated. He also referred to condemnation statements issued by global groupings like the Quad and BRICS regarding the Pahalgam incident. Meanwhile, Gaurav Gogoi criticised the government, pointing out that over 100 days have passed since the April 22 attack, yet the five wanted terrorists remain at large.
Praising PM Modiâs speech on Operation Sindoor, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut said, âPM Narendra Modi has said all that he had to, and he has given a âdhamakedaarâ speech.â

Slamming Congress MP Praniti Shindeâs now-expunged remark in Lok Sabha yesterday, PM Modi said, âShe was made to say that Operation Sindoor was a âtamashaâ. This is like putting acid (on the wounds) of the 26 people killed by terrorists.â
Explaining âNew Normalâ, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, âAb hamle ke baad mastermind ko nind nahi aaati, unko pata hain Bharat aayega aur maar kar jayega. This new normal has been set by India. âSindoor se leke Sindhu takâ, we have taken action against Pakistan.â
Describing the governmentâs strategy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Operation Sindoor made it clear that India has decided on 3 points.
1) If there is a terrorist attack on India, we will respond in our own method, on our conditions and on our time.
2) No nuclear blackmail would work now.
3) We will not see terrorist-supporting governments and terror masterminds as two separate entities.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, âWe now respond on our own terms; do not differentiate between masterminds of terror and state actors: PM Modi on Operation Sindoor. No country in the world has stopped India from any action in its defence against terror.â
