RAJASTHAN: The ever increasing prices of Onions, has lead to a matter of worry for the farmers as well as for the common people.
Talking about the situation, Rajasthan’s Agricultural Minister, Prabhu Lal Saini was quoted saying, “Onions are not an essential part of daily diet.”
Instead of addressing the problem of Onion prices, he made a statement in contrast to it saying, “How does price of Onions matter?”
He made a hard hitting statement in regard to the affordability power of the commons, which is pinching and might hurt the sentiments of the people. He said, “Don’t eat Onions if you can’t afford.”
Instead of telling people what to do and what not to, the politicians should focus on addressing the problem and finding a suitable solution to it.
