KOLKATA:BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya, 75, dies of heart attack. He was on a life support system.
It was reported on Friday that he was admitted to B. M. Birla hospital in Kolkata after he complained of chest pain. (Also Read: BCCI President Dalmiya in hospital)
The veteran cricket administrator was not been keeping well for a while and was not actively taking part in the day-to-day functioning of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
A C Muthaiah, Ex-BCCI President appreciated Dalmiya’s role saying, “He was the one to free ICC from MCC.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief by taking to Twitter, “My thoughts are with the family of Shri Jagmohan Dalmiya in this hour of grief. May Shri Dalmiya’s soul rest in peace.”
Pranab Mukherjee, tweeted about the loss on twitter, “Heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Shri Jagmohan Dalmiya #PresidentMukherjee.”
Mamata Banerjee also paid tribute to Dalmiya. Sourav Ganguly expressed his grief on the loss of such an eminent personality. 
Amit Shah also took to twitter to express his grief, “My deepest condolences to the family of Shri Jagmohan Dalmiya on his demise …a big loss not only for Indian but World cricket.”
Jagmohan Dalmiya’s death is not only a huge loss to India but also to Cricket world.
