MELBOURNE: Following its magnificent victory over New Zealand in the Cricket World Cup 2015 – final, Team Australia sheltered behind dark glasses at a public reception on Sunday.
While Captain Michael Clarke carried the World Cup trophy, his boys celebrated in front of thousands of fans, smiling and waving at them at the Federation Square.
Players then signed the autographs and posed for the photographs with the crowd.
After achieving his last World Cup trophy as the Captain, Micheal Clarke who has decided to take retirement from the ODIs said, “We’re all a bit hung over to be honest.”
Clarke hit 74 as Australia won the World Cup final and thrashed New Zealand by seven wickets amid a record-breaking crowd of 93,013 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.
