The Ram Mandir controversy has once again been sparked by Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma, who has reiterated his party’s desire to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
He said, “BJP will build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.” He also said that it is the Nation’s dream and so Ram Mandir ought to be built.
Mahesh Sharma also added that they are going to follow the court’s order and the laws, and so some time will be taken to build the Mandir. He also informed that along with the Mandir, a ‘Ramayana’ museum will also be built for which government has already sanctioned 170 Cr rupees.
Also, two truckloads of stones have already been unloaded on the construction site and 35 tonnes of stones have already been brought in.
A large blueprint has already been put forth by the party. However, the top leadership of the party is till mum about it considering the subject is after all, subjudice.
The announcement has invited criticism from the opposition. Samajvadi party has associated this move of BJP with the upcoming polls saying, “BJP is communalising politics.” Congress has slammed BJP saying, “It’s a bid to polarize.”
Subramanian Swamy, BJP leader has shown his confidence about winning the case and has also clarified saying, “It has nothing to do with the UP polls.”
May we also remind you, Ram Mandir was a part of BJP’s poll promise too.
