Bihar: In the first sign of a rift between the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ in Bihar, Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) on Friday pinned the blame on Janta Dal United (JDU) over the rising crime rate in Bihar.
Pointing fingers at JDU for the vulnerable situation in Bihar, RJD said that it is JDU’s responsibility to maintain the law and order situation in Bihar.
“In an alliance, CM is answerable to people. It is Nitish Kumar’s responsibility to maintain law and order in the State and take strong action against offenders”, said RJD spokesperson.
Speaking on the development, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav instructed RJD spokespersons to observe care before commenting. “Intellectuals in the alliance should abstain from commenting over controversial issues,” he said.
Both the major parties had joined hands before the Bihar Assembly elections in 2015 and had defeated the NDA by a landslide victory.
