Chennai: Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa on Sunday inaugurated many works completed at a cost of Rs.180.41 crore and also laid foundation for several works at a total cost of Rs.193.26 crore in RK Nagar Assembly constituency.
“I will never forget RK Nagar Constituency since the people of this constituency made me the Chief Minister of the State,” Jayalalithaa said.

While addressing the public function, the chief minister also mentioned the welfare measures being implemented by her government for the past five years.
The Chief Minister said that when she had assumed office, there were power cuts of long durations in the State but now the scenario is different.
“Now, my government has ensured uninterrupted power supply in Tamil Nadu. Law and order is being maintained in an effective manner and people are living in peace. Many industries have come up and new employment opportunities have been created”, she added.
The Chief Minister distributed welfare measures to 14 beneficiaries.
Jayalalithaa on Saturday had inaugurated a slew of infrastructure projects including a reservoir and housing units and kickstarted the distribution of Amma mobile phones, besides unveiling a renovated lake-eco park in Chennai.
