Chennai: With the election season heating up in the state of Tamil Nadu, the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) chief Captain Vijayakanth has stuck to his demand for the post of Chief Minister in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Recently the DMDK chief in a public meeting in Kancheepuram had asked his cadres whether they wanted him to be the king or kingmaker. His cadres unanimously responded with full support, wanting him to be a King. Supporting his cadres’ choice, Vijayakanth replied back to a massive strength of his cadres that “If I be the King, then you all will be the Kings”.
For Vijayakanth the post of the Chief Minister is something which he will not get if he joins hands with the DMK. Therefore the only party to which he can put forth his demand is the BJP, which is something he would be looking forward too.
According to sources, Captain Vijayakanth will be meeting Union Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar where it is expected that he is likely to put his demand for the post of Chief Minister in the upcoming elections.
Earlier, Captain Vijayakanth had put the forth the same demand before the Congress DMDK alliance.
