Vrindavan: Union Minister of state for external affairs general VK Singh is in middle of controversy after he compared JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar to deceased scholar Rohith Vemula.
V.K Singh said “One backed Yakub, other backs Azfal.”
This is a direct attack on Kanhaiya Kumar, JNUSU president who is one of the main convict of JNU row. After his release on Thursday he made a speech in the JNU premise wherein he stated that his idol was not Afzal Guru but Vemula.

V.K Singh even said that Vemula was among the organisers of a rally at university of Hyderabad to back the Mumbai blast convict Yakub Memon.
General V.K Singh is making such remarks when BJP is trying hard to deal with the row over Rohith Vemula’s suicide.
