Kolkata: Kolkata Airport authority has banned the entry of visitors as a part of precautionary measure following the threat email that was received by Kolkata Airport official.
Kolkata airport received an anonymous call on late Saturday evening where the caller demanded money. In the case if the amount of money was not paid the caller threatened to blow up the airport.
The CISE has beefed up the security at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and the police have started their investigation; the caller is yet to be traced.
The Airport authorities also received an e-mail threat earlier on Sunday.

The e-mail came to the airport manager’s e-mail ID and it is claimed to have been sent from Germany.
While the cyber crime team is checking the authenticity of the content of the e-mail, security has also been increased in the airport premises.
Luggage and cars of passengers are being thoroughly checked while various parts of the airport are being scanned, officials said.
This is following the terror alert across the nation and so no chances are being taken by the security officials.
