Kolkata: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s grandnephew Chandra Kumar Bose, who is a BJP candidate in the West Bengal assembly polls, owns assets worth about Rs.27 lakh.
Bose’s annual income for 2014-15 was Rs.2.33 lakh and he does not possess a vehicle or any other immovable property, according to the affidavit he filed with the election commission.
His movable property includes Rs.23.26 lakh in bank deposits and three life insurance policies with a cumulative value of Rs.2.53 lakh.
The 55-year-old is contesting from Bhowanipore constituency against Trinamool Congress supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Left Front-backed Congress nominee Deepa Dasmunsi.
Bose’s wife Usha, with an annual income of Rs.6.97 lakh, has immovable assets worth Rs.27.21 lakh and movable assets worth Rs.32.87 lakh.
