Srinagar: Following the dangerous student-army clashes in NIT in Jammu and Kashmir, a violent clash broke out on Monday between two student groups of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSB) in Rajouri.
As of now, there is no clear indication about what specifically incited this violence in the university. Four vehicles have been torched so far in the violent protests taking place inside the campus.
Jammu and Kashmir is already embroiled in a tense environment with the recent NIT row where students were killed and injured in different clashes with the army.
Speaking to NewsX, BJP party member Khalid Jehangir appealed to the students not to resort to violence and take law in their own hands. He said that the principal and the authorities of the university should take heed and practice damage-control during this time of unrest.
