New Delhi: In view of potential security threats to Patanjali Food and Herbal Park Private Limited belonging to Yoga guru Ramdev in Haridwar the food park has been provided Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) cover, comprising a contingent of 34 of commandos.
The CISF paramilitary force has been deployed complying to the Home Ministry’s order that was given earlier this year. The armed commandos took charge of the food park on March 22 under an Assistant Commandant rank officer.
The logistics for barracks, armoury and vehicles have been provided by Patanjali Ayurved Limited and the cost of providing security cover has been estimated to be around 40 lakh per annum.
Earlier, the security to the food park was provided on a temporary basis but then keeping the protests and threat in mind the Home Ministry decided to provide permanent security to Ramdev’s Patanjali food park.
