New Delhi: A 60-year-old doctor was shot dead in his clinic at Palam village area of south west Delhi on the night of May 13. The deceased has been identified as Balwan Singh Rawat.
Initial investigation reveals that the bullet shot went though his neck which resulted in his immediate death. The identity of the assailant(s) is yet to be ascertained.
The probe reveals that Rawat was going through a financial crisis due to which his landlord had also filed a suit against him for non-payment of the clinic rent. His daughter-in-law too had filed a dowry harassment case against his son. Due to these factors, the police are probing the angle of personal enmity in the death of the doctor.
