Patna:  After the ban on liquor, the Bihar government has now cracked down the whip on gutka and pan masala and has banned the sale, distribution, storage and publicity of all  tobacco products.
The order was issued by Bihar govt on Friday sending officials into a frenzy to conduct raids.
The ban will remain effective for the next one year, on both packaged and unpackaged edible items having tobacco content.
The Bihar government had earlier banned the sale and consumption of country and spiced liquor in rural areas from April 1 this year, but had allowed the sale of Indian Made Foreign Liquor in towns and cities.
