New Delhi: The Delhi University’s admission panel on Tuesday said that the Kashmiri migrants will continue to get 5 per cent quota in admissions to undergraduate courses in the upcoming academic session. The panel said that there are no changes in the reservation for the category. The panel will submit its final recommendations to the DU Vice Chancellor who will take a call on the admission policy.
“The Kashmiri migrants will continue to get upto 5 pc quota in admissions. However, these will be supernumerary seats and not affect the general and other category students,” RN Dubey, a committee member told press.
The Kashmiri migrant candidates are required to submit a proof of property in Kashmir and current residence address in Delhi, apart from the regular documents.
