New Delhi: A Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Sudesh Paswan and his brother were shot dead on Wednesday by Maoists while they were campaigning for panchayat polls in Bihar’s Gaya district.
As per a police official, LJP leader Sudesh Paswan and his brother Sunil Paswan were killed in broad daylight near Tola Dubat in Gaya, about 100 km from Gaya.
The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has condemned the murder of their party member Sudesh Paswan. In view of the situation in the state the party has demanded President’s rule there. 
LJP leader Chirag Paswan lashed out at the ruling ‘grand alliance’ for prevailing lawlessness in the state, and said those raising their voices are being murdered.
Maoists also torched two cars and a motorcycle used in the campaigning in support of the slain LJP leader’s wife, who is in the fray for the village head’s post.
