New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan flaunted a saffron coloured Nehru jacket in tune with the saffron wave spread by the Narendra Modi-led government as he addressed the special two-year celebrations of the Prime Minister’s rule.
Amitabh teamed the jacket with a crisp and pristine white kurta pajama as he addressed the audience with a valuable message around the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’ campaign.
The 73-year-old was present at India Gate on Saturday and emphasized the importance of education of the girl child.
The event was hosted by actor R. Madhavan, who looked sophisticated in a black kurta and white pyjama teamed up well with a white stole.
Big B also used the platform to interact with girl children from various schools, and even recited lines from his father’s famous “Madhushala”. The megastar looked very excited and at ease while sharing words of wisdom with the children.
The event at India Gate will include talk shows on the government’s achievements, interspersed with cultural programmes.
