Mehbooba called the incident unfortunate and also mentioned that such incidents create a wrong impression on the young Kashmiri minds who are studying outside. She also assured strict action would be taken against those who indulge in such activities to cause misbalance of harmony in the state.

Thousands of Kashmiri Pandits had gathered at the Kheer Bhawani Temple in Ganderbal district to be a part of the annual mela.

Over the rising tension on a proposal to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits in Sainik colonies in the valley, the J&K CM reassured the Pandits, who were present at the celebration, that the government was committed to give them full security and assure their dignity in the valley.
