New Delhi: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray cut a cake with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi’s picture on his 48th birthday in Mumbai on Tuesday. The MNS chief celebrated his birthday with the party supporters at his residence ‘Krishna Kunj’ at Dadar in Central Mumbai.
The incident has evoked a strong reaction from the Hyderabad-based party. The AIMIM condemned the act and demanded action against MNS chief.
Raj’s supporters had brought the cake with an image of Owaisi on it.
The AIMIM chief had earlier said that he would not chant ‘bharat Mata ki jai’, even if a knife is put into his throat.
