Mumbai: The city of Mumbai will not receive water on June 15 due to the repair work that is scheduled to take place on Tansa pipeline and the west main pipeline.
As per officials of the Hydraulic Engineering Department, the repair work has been planned to undertake the leakage to repair 1,450-diameter Tansa (east) pipeline and on west main pipeline.
An official from the department said, “The work to repair the leakages will start at 8 am on June 15 and be completed by 8 am on June 16. So, in all, the work will continue for 24 hours. During this period, these areas will not receive any water supply while a few areas will receive water supply but at low pressure.”
Officials said when the lines will be repaired areas such as  Elphinstone, Lower Parel, Mahim (W), Matunga (W), Dadar (W), Nair Hospital, Mumbai Central Station, Kasturba Hospital, N M Joshi Marg, Prabhadevi with others will not receive water on June 15.
However, the civic body has enough stock of water that can be supplied till June end.
